Böhler's family of cutting rules fulfil the highest quality demands for the die cutting, creasing and perforating of all packaging materials like cardboard, corrugated, plastics etc.

In addition they are successfully used in the textile, leather, gasket and printing industry as well as for special application for various materials.

- Creasing Rules
 
The quality of the creasing rules is equally as important as the quality of the cutting rules. The design of boxes is becoming ever more complex. Due to the continually increasing speed of packaging production machinery, the use of high quality creasing rules is becoming more and more important!

BÖHLER, therefore, produces a wide range of creasing rules which equal BÖHLER cutting rules in their accuracy:

- Very smooth crease head surface
- A perfectly radiused profile
- A flowing continuity from the radiused profile to the side faces of the rule
- Minimum eccentricity
- Minimum height tolerances
- Rule thickness complementary to cutting rules

Product Range
 
BÖHLER creasing rules are produced in two manufacturing methods, depending on the rule thickness required:

HT - Hardened and Tempered Creasing Rules
This method of manufacture guarantees the required stability of rules, with a relatively small cross-section.

HR - Hard Rolled Creasing Rules
Using a special rolling process the required tensile strength and stability of the rule is guaranteed.

These new edge profiles have been developed especially for plastic- and corrugated packaging in order to achieve best creasing results.

Twin-track rules are producing narrow, parallel double-tracks on the punched board, which considerably facilitates the subsequent folding process.

- Special Rules
 
Special rules are modified cutting rules used for all kinds of different applications like perforating, cutting patterns for opening of packages, glue flaps or the safe manufacture of folding edges.
 
 
- Rotary Cutting Rules
 
The standard brand of our rotary cutting rules is TOP 36.
Rules with back execution SNN (axial - for horizontal cuts) can also be supplied in TOP, if required.

For the best possible service life, we recommend our edge-hardened cutting rules UNIVERSAL and UNIVERSAL 60.

BÖHLER Rotary Cutting Rule
N7C - with tapered notches, curved

For radial use curved rotary rules are required (Executions: N2C / N7C / NNC).

Curved rotary rules are always delivered in coils.
Standard inner diameters for different machine sizes vary from 177 to 560 mm (7 22).
Starting from Ø 360 mm (14 3/16) we also offer curved rotary rules without notches (NNC).

All curved rotary rules are thermal stress relieved to eliminate the tension generated during curving.
Standard coil length for curved execution is 30,5 m (100 ft).

Coil winding directions for curved material
(NNC, N2C, N7C):
N : counter clockwise (end of coil on the top to the left side)
U : clockwise (end of coil on the top to the right side)
